Welcome to the North Star Wolfpack! We are Ryūnosuke and Franzi. Together with our three wolfdogs Shizuka, Hiroyuki and Kojirō our life is always an adventure. We take our pack everywhere. Be it on long hikes into the mountains, forests and wilderness of the many countries we frequently travel to, or into the pulsating nightlife of the cities we visit. Our wolfdogs are always with us.
Ryūnosuke is a native German but was legally adopted into an old samurai family in Japan and is the current 7th generation sōke (headmaster) of the famous Hokushin Ittō-ryū Hyōhō, an over 200 years old Samurai school.
Franzi is an internationally working Tattoo artist from Bavaria, who runs the studio Sumi-e Tattoo Art. She specializes on Japanese sumi-e, calligraphy and brush style tattoos and artwork.
Our joint passion and fascination for wolves and wolfdogs led us to live a very active lifestyle. With us both being self employed and due to our flexible jobs, we are very fortunate to be able to dedicate a lot of time to our three dogs on a daily basis. We love to go on long runs, bike tours and mountain hikes together with our pack. Also by taking them everywhere we go (they are with us 24/7), they got used to all kind of environments. Be it the loud and crowded training sessions of a ko-bujutsu ryūha dōjō (traditional samurai school of warfare), the hectic city center of a pulsating metropolis, or the typical dog meadows with dozens of playing dogs.
